Scripture Creatures was created on a random Saturday morning. Yes, this is a true story.

How it Started

a fun family activity

My kids love drawing. Their imaginations are wildly beautiful, and they're incredible artists for their age. One Saturday as they were spontaneously designing crazy creatures, I had the idea to digitize their drawings just for fun. It went surprisingly well.

I thought it would be even cooler to throw their designs on some custom trading card template, since they were into Pokemon Cards. So, that's exactly what I did. And, they LOVED it.

After a few days of that, I found myself exhausted of all creative energy. But, I didn't feel like it was the end of that crazy idea, so I brought it to the Lord in prayer. I had no vision or sense of direction at all. I didn't even know what I was really asking for.

I just sensed that God might want to do something with this. And, He did. It happened so naturally.

Over the next week, I found myself creating the first Scripture Creature prototype card. Once that design was finished, everything came together perfectly.

There was NO WAY this idea originated in my brain. I know this level of creativity and design could've only been directly from the Spirit of God Himself.

But, this was only for my children. That's when I started thinking...What about other kids? Would other families be interested in this?

Our Mission

God cares so deeply about children. They are so precious to Him. As a Bible Teacher, I've had the desire for several years to create a helpful bible resource for kids. But, nothing has ever materialized. I've never been passionate about any project geared towards children, until now.

At the time of writing this, we have one story set completed, and my desire is to see this one story set in the hands of millions of families.

My mission is to help parents and guardians train up their children in the truth of God's word. I know many adults feel unqualified and unequipped. I also know there are countless children that are ready and eager to dive into the Scriptures, but they have no one to guide them or teach them.

Our mission is simple. We want to equip adults with exciting and engaging tools to help the next generation develop a love for God's word and a deep understanding of His truth.

But, we have to meet children where they're at. Children are creative. They're imaginative. And, they have passions and hobbies like collecting trading cards and drawing crazy creatures. This is where Scripture Creatures will come in.

I want to see the Lord impact this next generation in the most profound and obvious way that will echo into future generations.

I don't believe Scripture Creatures is in any way the sole driving force behind any future revival, but I know the Lord will use these cards to further His Kingdom and exalt His name in ways that I will never know about.

Our mission is simple: to teach children how to read the Bible so they can live and teach it for themselves.

Where This Is Going

A new generation is rising up

We want to see these Scripture Creature cards in schools, daycares, churches, and anywhere else where children might be. We want to see the word of God take over the imaginations and hearts of this next generation. This is why I am committed to creating more story sets and other supplementary resources as the years go on.

I can't tell you how many sets will be developed every year, or what other projects the Lord has in store for these cards in the future. I can only tell you that I am excited.

All I can say is that God is leading the charge and His Spirit is guiding Scripture Creatures in the direction that HE desires at HIS pace.

And, that is an exciting and unpredictable journey that only the Lord has complete vision of. I do know one thing. Excellence, integrity, and love, will drive every decision we make to develop more cards, story sets, and whatever else we believe God is asking us to create to supplement this bible resource.

Please pray with us and for us. Pray that God would set the pace for the release of every future project and decision. Pray that God's Spirit would give us the creative energy, passionate hearts, and Kingdom vision that we need. I especially need those prayers.

I don't know where this is going, but I am confident that God started this and He will see it through to the appropriate end.
